Chihei Tai and Lorraine Lee have joined the Victorinox team.
Travel, watch and fragrance brand Victorinox has bolstered its Asia Pacific team with two new appointments. Chihei Tai has joined as Senior Regional Manager Travel Retail & Fragrances, while Lorraine Lee takes on the role of Area Sales Manager Travel Retail & Fragrances.
Both team members were introduced to the trade at the recent TFWA World Exhibition, held in Cannes last week.
Lee will report into Tai, with both based in the Victorinox Hong Kong office.
Victorinox also used the event to highlight recent releases from across its travel, watch and fragrances portfolio.
The Spectra 3.0 luggage line saw the ‘Storm’ core colourway added to its Black and Victorinox Red colours.
Meanwhile the Airox Advanced was added to the Airox line of lightweight, high-performance luggage. A line extension for the Altmont Pro backpack was also revealed on-stand.
Three new watch designs were also revealed: Journey 1884, I.N.O.X Chrono and Dive Pro.
Fragrance releases included Quartz, a men’s fragrance from the Signature collection. The scent was inspired by the light shards refracted from crystal stone.
Victorinox ‘buoyed by enlivened travel’
Earlier this year, the brand updated its ‘Heritage For Her’ scent collection. The ‘For Her Ginger Lily’ fragrance is accompanied by two new fragrance launches: For Her Apricot Rose and For Her Lilac Jasmine.
In January, Victorinox named Gloria Dix as Head of Global Travel Retail and Fragrances Sales. Dix will oversees the strategic direction of travel retail and fragrances sales globally.
She previously held travel retail roles at well-known international companies within luxury cosmetics, fashion and fragrances.
“Victorinox has ambitious growth plans this year, buoyed by the opportunity and scope of a changed and enlivened travel industry, but fully conscious of the prevailing challenges and opportunities,” she said at the time.
Victorinox is headquartered in Ibach, Switzerland. Founder Karl Elsener is best known for inventing the Swiss Army Knife.
Today the Victorinox product portfolio is distributed in over 120 countries. In 2022, it generated sales of CHF 427 million/about US$470m.
