Storck Travel Retail bringing future-focused strategy to TFWA Cannes

The company will showcase travel retail-exclusive products from its flagship brands and sponsor the TFWA Lounge with its popular Knoppers wafers.

Storck Travel Retail is returning to the TFWA World Exhibition & Conference this year, aiming to strengthen its global presence despite confectionery market challenges.

Storck Travel Retail Managing Director Andy Mutton, said: “TFWA World is the ideal event to deepen partnerships and extend our network. We’re strengthening our existing business while increasing our focus on new markets. Our new partnership with B&S King of Reach in Latin America is just one example of targeted market expansion.”

Underlining the key role trusted brands play in the continued strength of the confectionery category, Storck will showcase travel retail-exclusive products from its popular merci, Toffifee, Knoppers, Riesen and Werther’s Original brands.

The assortment

Merci chocolates are available in eight varieties: Chocolate, Coffee & Cream, Hazelnut – Almond, Hazelnut – Creme, Marzipan, Dark Cream, Dark Mousse and Praline – Creme.

Storck noted merci’s success has been built on its sincere ‘thank you’ message, its premium packaging and the product itself.

Targeting gifting and personalisation, limited-edition merci packs – exclusive to travel retail – include messages such as ‘You’re Amazing, ‘Missed You, ‘With Love’ and ‘Great to See You’.

According to the Euromonitor July 2025 Worldwide Boxed Chocolate brand ranking, Toffifee also rates amongst the top ten boxed chocolate brands in the world. Each caramel cup contains a whole roasted hazelnut and is filled with a smooth, creamy hazelnut spread, topped with a layer of chocolate with something for everyone and ideal for sharing.

Bronze-coloured 200g and 400g travel retail-exclusive packs are available.

As one of Storck’s flagship brand, Werther’s Original consistently claims the title of the world’s most popular caramel brand; with a brand heritage dating back to 1909, Storck said Werther’s Original is the epitome of traditional craftsmanship and the continued use of natural ingredients.

The Caramel Favourites 605g sharing pack is exclusive to travel retail.

Werther’s Original Caramel Popcorn was introduced last year, a resealable 624g Pouch is available in travel retail, offering travellers a new taste and texture sensation.

Knoppers combines a crispy baked wafer and chocolatey nutty spread with crunchy hazelnut pieces and a creamy milk filling. This layered treat is individually wrapped so perfect for self-treating on the go, with a Knoppers Travel Edition containing 15 wafers.

Finally, Riesen combines dark chocolate toffee with a Gavoa Cocoa blend, and a travel retail-exclusive pack of 66 pieces available.
