Accolade Wines launches carbon neutral Wise Wolf wines into GTR
By Faye Bartle |
Accolade Wines has launched its Wise Wolf wine range in global travel retail, following its release into the UK market in June.
The company is set to showcase the range at the TFWA World Exhibition & Conference, taking place from 2-6 October in Cannes, adding a further boost to its growing roster of green credentials.
Part of the Banrock Station portfolio, Wise Wolf is a French range of wines that consists of a Pays D’OC Chardonnay, Rosé and Cabernet Sauvignon and is intended to appeal to consumers who are ‘increasingly aware of the impact of their consumption’.
As previously reported, the wine is housed in recyclable glass bottles made from 100% post-consumer recycled glass.
Its carbon neutral status is certified by The Carbon Trust.
Tom Smith, Marketing Director – Europe, Accolade Wines said that Wise Wolf is “rewriting the rules around traditional wine packaging” and “aiming to make old world wine more accessible for consumers with desirable packaging and familiar grape varieties”.
“We know that over 80%* of wine drinkers believe companies and brands have the responsibility to take care of the planet and its people,” said Smith.
“Accolade Wines is committed to constantly search for new and better ways of doing things.
“We’re offering a great tasting wine that, which we believe will recruit new shoppers to the wine category and increase basket spend for retailers.”
Wise Wolf will be showcased on the Accolade Wines stand at the TFWA World Exhibition & Conference (Yellow Village D26), with a sampling event on Wednesday 5 October from 16:30, when the company is spotlighting its innovation brands.
Accolade Wines is also “delighted to be sponsoring” the TRBusiness and m1nd-set organised Global Travel Retail Awards 2022, which is taking place on the evening of Monday 3 October, with a selection of Wise Wolf Red, White and Rosé wines for attendees to enjoy.
