Jose Maria ‘Chim’ Esteban III, Chairman of Regent Asia Group and Landmark Management Services talks to TRBusiness about the acceleration in Chinese free independent travellers (FITs) to the Philippines and how they are influencing the purchase makeup at the Duty Free Philippines Luxe Duty Free store in Pasay City.
Esteban also updates on major renovations at Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal’s 1 and 2, in addition to tweaking the offer at Terminal 3. He says a ‘purposeful reconfiguration’ of the stores is designed to focus on high-spending Chinese consumers. He also touches on plans to develop the domestic terminal at Mactan-Cebu International Airport.
