Coty Travel Retail Asia Pacific partners EDA Australasia

Coty Travel Retail Asia Pacific has tied up with point-of-sale (POS) and retail merchandising company EDA Australasia (EDA), extending the latter’s business with the global beauty house in Oceania.

The new deal will see EDA – which owns manufacturing facilities in China and Australia – develop POS installations from concept and design through to installation for Coty TR Asia Pacific. The POS will cover all its key brands including: Balenciaga, Bottega Veneta, Calvin Klein, Chloé, Davidoff, Marc Jacobs, OPI, Philosophy and Roberto Cavalli.

EDA launched its first POS solution by delivering five units for Perth International Airport’s departure and arrival halls for prestige fragrance, Philosophy and OPI. Each one features customer touch points such as digital screens, striking visuals and improved lighting.

Regional Business Development Manager at EDA Australasia, Melissa Kay (left), says: “We are thrilled to extend our relationship to support Coty Travel Retail Asia Pacific in this dynamic, specialised, and ever-changing sector and we have strong development plans over the next 12 months.”

At Perth, EDA provided an end-to-end solution from engineering and manufacturing through to delivery and installation.  The company and Coty TR Asia Pacific have further projects planned at Brisbane International Airport in September with JR Duty Free, and other large developments in Asia Pacific.

Tara Howell, Regional Sales Manager Pacific at Coty TR Asia Pacific, comments: “EDA’s strength is definitely their professionalism, communication, quality of fixtures and importantly the follow-up support. In this industry a lot of contractors do not follow up after the fixtures are complete. EDA is brilliant in this area.”
