The Changi Airport Group (CAG) reports today that former DFS GM of Airport Operations Ms Teo Chew Hoon is taking over from Ivy Wong as Senior Vice President, Airside Concessions from 22 January, at which time Ivy Wong becomes the new SVP, Finance, focusing on strategic and business transformation.
Teo Chew Hoon has more than 20 years of retail and commercial operations experience in both the retail and transport sectors.
Besides her experience with DFS back in 1999, she has also subsequently worked for the SMRT Corporation and the Auric Pacific Group Limited. She will report to Ms Lim Peck Hoon, Executive Vice President, Commercial.
CAG‟s Airside Concessions division oversees the management and growth of Changi Airport’s retail, F&B and services concessions business within the departure and arrival transit areas.
Led by its SVP, the team undertakes strategic planning, space development, leasing, operations, in-airport advertising, promotions, and manages the airport’s online shopping portal.
“Ivy has been instrumental in building up Changi Airport‟s travel retail business,” said Ms Lim Peck Hoon.
“Since she took leadership of the airside team in 2009, she has brought the business to new heights, with our concession sales growing by about 80% over the past six years.
“Under her stewardship, CAG has significantly elevated Changi’s retail experience with the introduction of many travel retail innovations, from the first-in-the-world Cosmetics & Perfumes and Liquor & Tobacco duplexes, to the signature ‘Be a Changi Millionaire’ draw – which are today anchor propositions of shopping at Changi.”
Lim Peck Hoon continued: “As Ivy moves on to another dynamic role to shape CAG in a different capacity, we thank her for all her contributions and achievements on the retail front. At the same time, we warmly welcome Chew Hoon, who brings on board a wealth of industry experience and perspectives.”
Besides Airside Concessions, CAG‟s Commercial Cluster includes the Landside Concessions, Rentable Properties, and Pricing & Commercial Strategy divisions.
