Under the terms of the agreement Tasa Meng will distribute the masks in the Taiwanese duty free and domestic markets. A promotional area highlighting the masks has been set up in the main Tasa Meng T2 shop in front of immigration.

“This is an important launch especially during the Covid-19 period,” a Tasa Meng Spokesperson commented.

TIGHTENED SAFETY MEASURES IN TAIWAN

On the coronavirus (Covid-19) situation in Taiwan, the spokesperson said things were becoming more difficult due to many new cases, tightened safety measures and more intense social distancing.

Tasa Meng will distribute the Dassai facial treatment masks in the Taiwanese duty free and domestic markets.

Yesterday (16 June 2021), Taiwan recorded 170 new Covid-19 cases and 18 deaths, according to the Central Epidemic Command Center. Taiwan’s nationwide Level 3 Covid-19 alert was also recently extended until 28 June.

The Spokesperson added: “Many Taiwanese citizens are flying to the US or China to have their Covid-19 vaccine [due to vaccine shortages in Taiwan] and to enjoy their summer holiday.

“Passengers are pre-ordering their merchandise at our duty free website and picking up orders at our collection counter, or visiting our duty free shops on departure.”

Those passengers who are travelling from Taoyuan Airport are either pre-ordering their merchandise at Tasa Meng’s online duty free shop and picking up orders at the airport, or shopping in-store.
