By Doug Newhouse |

Top BA ginBritish Airways launched its own in-house gin last month specifically for its first-class passengers using the bar in the Concorde Room at Heathrow’s Terminal 5.

British Airways Tailored Gin (40%/70cl) carries the BA red and blue sash on the green and white label in a transparent square bottle and is said to be the result of extensive tasting tests with first-class customers in the Concorde Room bar in London, by the award-winning Cambridge Distillery.

According to the producer, the main botanicals in ‘the exclusive herbaceous gin’ apart from juniper are basil, rosemary and thyme, which are all grown in the distillery gardens in Cambridge.
