Hyderabad Duty Free (HDF) has inaugurated a new duty free store at GMR Hyderabad International Airport. It is strategically located near Departure Gate 30 to target passengers looking to make last-minute purchases before they fly.

The shop, says the retailer, is designed especially to cater to the needs of time-pressed travellers who often miss the chance to shop at the main duty free store.

It’s home to a curated selection of products, including luxury goods, travel essentials and souvenirs.

HDF, a division of GMR Hospitality and Retail Limited, operates more than 2,638 sim of space at  GMR Hyderabad International Airport (Rajiv Gandhi International Airport) in Hyderabad.

The retailer offers a mixture of international brands and homegrown products across the core categories of liquor, perfume, confectionery and tobacco.

It also carries an array of destination merchandise such as tea, artefacts, scarves, wood, carvings, jewellery and apparel.

GMR Hyderabad International Airport recently won the ‘Best Airport Staff in India & South Asia 2024’ award by Skytrax.

The retail offering has been especially curated to appeal to time-pressed travellers.

It was also recognised in the annual Airports Council International (ACI) Airport Service Quality (ASQ) survey, earning the award for ‘Best Airport in the 15 to 25 Million Passengers Per Annum (MPPA)’ in the Asia-Pacific region for 2023.

At the time, Pradeep Panicker, CEO GMR Hyderabad International Airport Limited, said: “The continuous recognition of our passengers for their overall satisfaction and experience while transiting through our airport is something we are proud of.

“We are constantly investing in cutting-edge technologies and adopting innovative solutions across our operations to make travel delightful and experiential.”
