TRBusiness and m1nd-set are delighted to announce that registration for the 2022 edition of the highly acclaimed Travel Retail Consumer Forum is now open.

The event, which will be held in Limassol, Cyprus, with Cyprus Duty Free as Host Sponsor, will take place from 4-6 September at the Parklane Hotel, a luxurious resort hotel situated on the outskirts of the ancient Cypriot city.

Registration is accessible directly from the TR Consumer Forum website here: www.travelretailconsumerforum.com.

The early bird registration fee is £595, which will be valid until 18 July. After that date, the standard rate of £695 will apply.

Delegates are encouraged to register early to secure their place, and reserve their hotel room at the Parklane Hotel using the dedicated TR Consumer Forum hotel reservation webpage here. TRBusiness and m1nd-set have secured a significantly discounted room rate for delegates.

Registration gives access to all aspects of the three-day event, including the Opening Cocktail, which will take place on the beachfront lawns of the hotel on Sunday 4 September. The two-day conference on Monday 5 and Tuesday 6 September, includes networking lunches and coffee breaks, and the networking gala dinner on Monday 5 September.

m1nd-set’s invaluable insights will be shared only with conference delegates and will not be available to those who do not attend.

The organisers are also looking into the possibility of a cultural visit on the morning of Sunday 4 September for those delegates who have already arrived and are keen to explore the island’s cultural heritage.

Registrants are invited to express their interest in this leisure activity on the registration form. More details on the visit will be announced in the near future, if confirmed.

TRBusiness and m1nd-set are also delighted to announce that Host Sponsor Cyprus Duty Free will be giving away €9000 (more than US$9500) in shopping vouchers, redeemable at the Cyprus Duty Free stores in Larnaca or Paphos, during the event.

Delegates will need to be in the conference room to win as the winners will be announced after the lunch breaks on both conference days. Commenting on the cash giveaways, Cyprus Duty Free General Manager Andrew Baker said: “Cyprus Duty Free are proud to be sponsoring the daily prize competition at the TR Consumer Forum this coming September.

“This will allow the lucky winners the opportunity to enjoy some great shopping in our stores at both Larnaca and Paphos Airports, with some of Travel Retail’s best international brands as well as the very best of our own award winning local products, exclusively available at Cyprus Duty Free.

“We want to offer the winners of the daily competitions a very different shopping experience, one that offers the very best in international Travel Retail, combined with our award winning Kypriaka local products, as well as that fabulous and warm Cypriot Hospitality,” Toni McDonald, Cyprus Duty Free’s Retail & Marketing Manager added.

Details of other prize draws from other event partners will be announced in the near future.

UNRIVALLED ACCESS TO CONSUMER INSIGHTS

m1nd-set’s CEO Peter Mohn at the 2021 TR Consumer Forum

As with the inaugural TR Consumer Forum in London in September last year, the conference agenda will deliver unparalleled insights with a series of detailed shopper insights across multiple themes, courtesy of the event co-organiser, leading industry research agency m1nd-set.

The m1nd-set insights will look at the travel retail market growth perspectives with 5-year forecasts  and the potential across the air, cruise and downtown duty free markets.

The consumer insights will also provide region-specific data on European shoppers and specific key markets within Europe, among other regions, the importance of sense of place, in-store merchandising and touch points and their impact on decision making, the role of digital technology and social media on shopping behaviour and cross category analysis, among other important themes, including the impact of Brexit on shopper behaviour in key markets and the growing impact of corporate social and environmental responsibility on the consumers’ decision to purchase when shopping in the travel retail channel.

Details of the precise agenda and speaker line-up will be announced in the coming weeks. For enquiries about the agenda and speaking opportunities, please contact [email protected].

STRONG SUPPORT FROM EVENT PARTNERS

As reported earlier this week, following the huge success of the inaugural TR Consumer Forum in 2021, the event has already generated strong support from a wealth of sponsors. More information on the Host Sponsor Cyprus Duty Free, including a video tour of the Cyprus Duty Free’s recently refurbished shops at Larnaca Airport and video introductions to the company’s senior executive team, can be found on the “Meet the Host Sponsor” page on the event website.

In addition to Cyprus Duty Free, Anne Klein, Armitron, E. Gluck, Torgoen and WITHit have signed up as Platinum sponsors, Go Travel and BlackJack Promotions are Gold sponsors.

Beam Suntory will sponsor the event’s opening cocktail while Altavia, Nora Norway and ZYN (Swedish Match) will take advantage of the Exhibition Showcase opportunity in Cyprus. Artisan People are one of the events exclusive partners while Loacker, Nestlé, Ritter Sport and Walker’s Shortbread will sponsor the event’s coffee breaks.
