Ritter Sport MD Jan Pasold has hailed the brand’s success at TFWA World Exhibition

The recent TFWA World Exhibition was a “fantastic trade show” with the brand’s Tasty Vibes pack receiving especially strong feedback, Ritter Sport Global Travel Retail Managing Director Jan Pasold has said.

Speaking to TRBusiness, Pasold said the summer 2024 limited edition, which pairs chocolate with music genres was “really loved” by retailers and agencies.

“The concept Tasty Vibes combines great taste with music,” he explained. “The modern and emotional design of the packaging and the varieties really convinced, with a great taste experience – especially Funky White Lemon and Groovy Crunchy Pretzel.”

Pasold added that seasonal products developed for special occasions also resonated with the trade show audience.

“Our new sleeves for festivities such as Diwali or Chinese New Year for the Mini Tower got a lot of positive feedback,” he detailed.

“In a nutshell, we had a very successful show, and have received a lot of positive feedback regarding the brand and all we do in terms of new product development, brand appearance and activities.”

The Germany-based confectionery also showcased its Vegan Tower on-stand at the event, which took place from 2-5 October in Cannes, France.

Products are released under its ‘Chocolate full of Joy and Goodness’ line. Three of the lines showcased at Cannes (Tasty Vibes, Vegan Tower and the new Fruity Yoghurt Mix Pouch) contain 100% certified sustainable cocoa.

In addition, Ritter Sport is a carbon-neutral company.

Ritter Sport offers around 40 different flavour varieties, including vegan and lactose-free options.

The business dates back to 1912. Today it employs 1,750 people and reported sales of €505 million in 2021.

Earlier this year, Ritter Sport partnered with Dufry to release its Mini Rainbow Crunchies Tower 250g Limited Edition. The pack includes 15 mini bars and is exclusive to the travel retailer.
