ISG finalises Air Caraïbes concession contract win

By Doug Newhouse |

The Inflight Sales Group (ISG) reports today that it has reached a final agreement with Air Caraïbes (owned by the Dubreuil group) to operate as its inflight retail concessionaire 1 December 2016.

ISG said that the agreement ‘further builds on ISG’s rapid growth in the region’, following its recent successful launch on board with French Blue, also a Dubreuil group airline, on 1 July 201

Commenting on the development, ISG Director Europe Karen Durban said: “Based on our positive experience launching with sister company French Blue, ISG is extremely pleased about working with Air Caraïbes.

“We will provide the airline with a tailored offer, high calibre tools for crew and offer great innovation in technology and services. The unique dynamism of the airline and the high motivation of the crew are two key elements that will help us to boost the sales and reach our targets.”

AIRLINE IS KEEN TO START…

Durban added “This new business also consolidates our local Paris partnership with Newrest’s catering unit based in Orly, which already covers four French airlines.”

Air Caraïbes Inflight Manager Sophie Jean-Victor commented: “We are eager to start working with the ISG team on Air Caraïbes’ transatlantic flights. Their new process and tools, together with a strong product expertise, should not only seduce our crew members but also our customers on board and allow us to rapidly level up our sales.”

French carrier Air Caraïbes has operated scheduled long haul flights between Paris Orly and the Great Caribbean since 2003, in addition to its regional network.

The airline currently has a working fleet of five Airbus 330 aircraft for its sole long-haul operations and is shortly expected to become the first French airline to take delivery of the A350 – with two aircraft expected to come into service in 2017.

ISG adds that Air Caraïbes is recognised as the specialist carrier working with Great Caribbean and Guyana destinations and is shortly expected to add new routes towards Cuba and the Bahamas before the end of this year.
