Kyrgyz Republic seeks regional airport investors

The main airport operator in Central Asia’s Kyrgyz Republic (Kyrgyzstan) is looking for investment partners to develop six regional airports – while the key airport of Manas in the capital Bishkek seeks bids for its food and beverage operations.

 

The joint stock company, Manas International Airport – JSC ‘MIA’, said on Friday that it was looking for investors at the regional airports of Issyk-Kul International, Batken, Jalal-Abad, Naryn, Kazarman and Isfana.

 

Contract winners will be fully responsible for the operation and management of an individual airport or group of airports (depending on what the big for and win), although implementation of projects must first be agreed and approved by JSC ‘MIA’.

 

The estimated project cost for each airport is as follows: Issyk-Kul ($68.9m), Batken ($11.5m), Isfana ($10m), Jalal-Abad ($6.4m), Kazarman ($6.5m) and Naryn ($6.6m).

 

A ‘clarification meeting’ will be held on 1 August with closing deadlines for submissions on 1 September. The chosen investor(s) must start the projects no later than three months from the date of signing the agreement with JSC ‘MIA’.

 

F&B BIDS

The contract for the food and beverage offer at Manas International Airport covers units on the first floor of the air terminal 1 with a total area of 302sq m available. The deadline for bid documents is 15 August and the winner is expected to complete the project and begin operations by 1 October.
