By Charlotte Turner |
Dates for the 21st and final ASUTIL-only conference to take place in Rio de Janeiro have been confirmed for 6-9 June this year. The 2017 conference for duty free and travel retail companies in South America, carries the theme of ‘Back to the Future’.
The event will take place at the Hilton Barra hotel, situated in a ‘modern’ neighbourhood with plenty of attractions, such as the Olympic Park and a view of the Jacarepaguá lagoon.
As reported, ASUTIL and the International Association of Airport and Duty Free Stores (IAADFS) have agreed to integrate their events from March 2018.
This year, delegates will hear from new speakers in addition to presentations on studies conducted by m1nd-set, the usual statement of the affairs of ASUTIL and the industry as well as some research on the impact of the technological innovation.
“From Tuesday 6 to Friday 9 June attendants will experience and enjoy a mix of business, interesting talks and pleasant social activities,” says the organisation.
Registration will open in February and stand registration in March, but organisers warn that there are only a few places for stands.
“After 20 years, we have been giving our best effort to deliver a distinctive experience, and especially this year, since it is our last conference,” says ASUTIL.
“Next year, ASUTIL and IAADFS will unite their events and it will the beginning of a new era. Don’t miss it and come to Asutil 2017: BACK TO THE FUTURE.
“We would love to see you in Rio, our first venue and now also our last. Join us in this unique moment, a moment of farewell and at the same time a moment of welcome.”
