Tourvest debuts Bain’s Whisky on African airlines

By Kevin Rozario |

Inflight concessionaire Tourvest is bringing Distell-owned Bain’s Cape Mountain Whisky into the airline channel for the first time.

The award-winning South African pure grain whisky is being listed on South African Airways and Kenya Airways from August and September.

“It’s part of our ongoing strategy to source exciting brands and products, which match our airline partners and their on-board customers, says Tourvest Chief Sales and Marketing Officer Joe Harvey.

Distell has been developing more of its brands in the duty free and travel retail channel, led by Amarula and Bisquit Cognac. It has followed through with Nederburg wines, and now other spirits such as Bain’s Cape Mountain whisky and the newly-acquired Burn Stewart portfolio where further market investment is planned.
