Pre-registration has opened for this year’s TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference. The event will be held from 6 May to 10 May at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre.

The 2017 TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference saw a number of records broken. A total of 3,087 delegates from the duty free and travel retail industry participated, up 6% from the 2,905 in 2016.

The diamond conference sponsor will be Changi Airport Group and platinum sponsor China Duty Free Group.

LEADING THE FIELD

TFWA president Erik Juul-Mortensen said: “Asia continues to lead the field in terms of expansion in duty free and travel retail. In the first half of 2017, sales in the Asia Pacific region grew by 8.1%, considerably higher than in any other region, according to preliminary figures from Generation Research.

“Asia Pacific sales topped $15bn, and accounted for approximately 45% of the global total. These impressive figures speak for themselves, and I’m sure the buoyant mood of our business in Asia will be reflected in considerable support for this year’s exhibition and conference.”
