CollaGin is available to purchase at The Loop, Dublin Airport for €52 in duty free and €60 duty paid.

Oxford-based friends and self-confessed ‘gin-trepreneurs’ Camilla Brown and Liz Beswick, both left their respective jobs in PR to launch Young In Spirit, which will see a range of collagen distilled products hitting the market.

With collagen becoming a popular addition to the modern day beauty regime and gin sales at an all-time high, it seemed natural to combine the two, say Beswick and Brown.

UNCOMPROMISING ON TASTE

CollaGin is the first offering from the pair and boasts ‘an elegant and refined taste’, with a recipe that has stayed true to the principles of a classic gin.

“This smooth and unique tasting gin is blended with anti-ageing botanicals including angelica root, pink grapefruit and star anise, which perfectly complements the effects of the collagen,” says ARI.

“CollaGin is distilled with the number one collagen brand in America, which does not affect the taste, smell, or appearance of the gin, meaning consumers can enjoy the benefits of collagen without compromising on taste.”

Co-Founder Camilla Brown explains: “This really is the smoothest gin I have ever tasted and works so well in many different ways. Our key botanicals all have an anti-ageing quality to complement the collagen, particularly the pink grapefruit, fresh orange, anise oil and orris.

“The gin is fragrant, soft and the aftertaste is velvety, with a hit of vanilla. Enjoy it in a Martini, or if you prefer a longer, refreshing serve, try it in a classic G&T.”

ALL BOXES TICKED

Michelle Corbett, ARI Head of Global Consumer Marketing commented: “We continually strive to provide new and exciting products and experiences for our customers and this unique offering from CollaGin certainly ticks all the right boxes.

“By seamlessly merging the worlds of beauty and spirits, we are confident that CollaGin will appeal to our growing numbers of gin connoisseurs and beauty fans alike.

“We invested heavily in our gin offering throughout 2016 and into 2017 and it is now The Loop’s fastest growing category, second only to Irish whiskey. In 2016, sales of gin increased by a staggering 70%, with Irish produced gin growing by nearly 200%.”

“To ensure we remain at the forefront of this growing trend we have expanded our range by 40% in the last year, providing carefully selected lines to continue to offer our customers new and exclusive products.”

Young in Spirit CoFounder Liz Beswick added: “We have been working towards this launch with The Loop for a year, but we have taken the time to ensure that absolutely everything about our product, from the branding, to the recipe itself and even product name, are absolutely perfect and ready for market, before we launched.”

“The advice and support provided by The Loop has been instrumental throughout the entire process and we have already been overwhelmed by the wider support of consumers throughout the island of Ireland.

“The Irish are without doubt our biggest fans and, as a start up company, we are truly grateful and appreciative of the support and value it enormously.”
