Gebr. Heinemann and Umberto Cesari celebrate their successful promotion at Bologna Airport.

Heinemann Duty Free and Italian wine brand Umberto Cesari winery have partnered to execute a wine barrel promotion at Bologna International Airport in October and November.

The barrel was specifically designed for Heinemann Italia. It is around five meters long and as high as the Heinemann Duty Free Shop ceiling. Passengers can find a wine bar tasting area inside the barrel where they can explore Umberto Cesari’s finest wines during the promotion.

Christoph Steenbock, Category Manager, Heinemann Italia said: “Umberto Cesari is our most important local wine brand at Heinemann Duty Free in Bologna and perfectly represents our local footprint in the wine category. We have seen a great deal of attention as well as a tremendous increase in sales from the giant wine barrel installation and we are particularly happy to launch this enticing promotion together with our longstanding partner Umberto Cesari.”

Founded over 50 years ago, Umberto Cesari has become a major ambassador for high-quality fine wines. It has also entered Heinemann Duty Free shops at other locations such as Oslo and Bergen.

LANDSIDE ADVERTISING PROMOTION

Before entering security, passengers will notice an advertising promotion highlighting the activation on screens across the landside area.
