Aeroporti di Roma (ADR) has added 14 new brands to its high-end fashion, accessories, footwear and jewellery portfolio at Rome Fiumicino Airport T1’s new boarding Area A.
A total of 1,700 sq m has been dedicated to luxury brands Bulgari, Bottega Veneta, Gucci, Moncler, Dolce & Gabbana, Golden Goose, MaxMara Weekend, Vilebrequin, Pinko, Twin Set, Piquadro, The Bridge, Coccinelle and Furla.
The new retail area focuses primarily on Italian labels. It also incorporates the first airport openings for Twin Set and Golden Goose – both brands which are popular with younger consumers.
Rome Fiumicino fashion offer evolves
In addition to the new points of sale, the area will soon offer collect on return and home delivery services. These will allow Italian and European passengers, and those arriving and departing from Rome within the Schengen Area, to pick up their purchases quickly and easily.
The Area A luxury shopping space is part of the T1 reconfiguration programme, which began recently with the opening of the world’s biggest Lagardère Travel Retail duty free shop, sited in the new new Avancorpo commercial gallery.
New lounges and food & beverage areas have also been introduced, as the airport strives to offer a complete and enjoyable passenger experience.
Aeroporti di Roma Chief Commercial Officer Marilena Blasi commented: “The new stores reaffirm ADR’s customer-centric approach, which has led to a substantial evolution in the planning of commercial systems and in other areas.
“From the traditional approach of designing shopping areas to the design of end-to-end experiences that are increasingly engaging and full of new features and special services, [this] ensures that Fiumicino airport offers one of the best travel retail experiences in the world.”
