Covid-19: Sprayground devises three-layer face masks in new collection

The Sprayground collection boasts 15 different face mask designs.

Sprayground has produced a range of face masks in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The face masks are available in 15 different designs and feature three layers: polyester on the outside, cotton on the inside and spandex around the ears.

Retailing at $20, the masks will be ready to ship from 25 May and are available in travel retail through Brand Strategy.

Traditionally specialising in bags, apparel and accessories, the company has taken its manufacturing cues from a combination of changing circumstances.

Airports and airlines globally are encouraging – or even in some cases demanding – that travellers wear face masks.

The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that people wear face coverings in public settings, while many cities have also made these mandatory.

“Although no one knows for sure what the post Covid ‘new normal’ will look like, one thing we do know is that face masks will be part of it,” said the company.

“Face masks are not only a functional necessity, they are now becoming a fashion accessory. It appears masks will be worn for the foreseeable future and it is now time to find a mask you like that will allow you to express yourself.”
