Fraas plans to increase travel retail business in Cannes

Scarf company, Fraas, which is exhibiting in Cannes for the first time this year, says it is hoping to use the event as a launchpad to develop more business opportunities in travel retail.
Over the past two years, the German-based, family-run textile company has been strategically targeting travel retail with strong results.
Its scarves and accessories can already be found in shops operated by China Duty Free Group, the China National Service and at Nuremberg and Riga airports, with many more shop-in-shops planned internationally.
Pop-up shops are also planned at Munich Airport (confirmed for 2018), Düsseldorf Airport and at Johannesburg Airport. The international textile company is also already supplying to BC Ferries in Canada and has more partnerships in the pipeline.
NEW COLLECTIONS FOR CANNES
“Exhibiting at the TFWA World Exhibition and Conference is the logical next step in our strategic objective of expanding our distribution in travel retail,” said Andreas Schmidt, Owner and Managing Director, Fraas. “Being present in Cannes is the perfect opportunity to present our collections to key buyers and showcase the USP of our family company.”
Fraas will unveil it latest collections at Cannes, which include The Perfect Gift; a range of scarves hats and gloves in ‘beautiful packaging, ideal to bring home from a trip’, priced at €69-€199 (US$83.1-US$239.8).
My Travel Companion is another collection of scarves, ruanas and ponchos retailing at €29-€399 (US$34.9-US$480.6).
Finally, the firm will be showcasing its luxurious Fraas Signature Collection, which is exclusively manufactured in Germany and Italy, priced between €69-€399 (US$83.1-US$480.6).
Fraas will be exhibiting at the Red Village, Stand K29 at October’s TFWA World Exhibition and Conference.
