Beirut Duty Free answers demand for electronics

By Charlotte Turner |

Beirut Duty Free – managed by an ARI joint venture – has opened a new 225sq m electronics store alongside an 85sq m Virgin megastore, in response to a growing demand for electronics from passengers. BDF says the new store marks a significant expansion of the previous shop, which covered an area of 170sqm.

The refurbished shop carries laptops, tablets, mobile phones, cameras and photography equipment, audio, healthcare and gaming products, wearable tech and a wide selection of accessories. Leading consumer electronics brands such as Apple, Samsung, Sony, HTC, Canon and Nikon will all be represented in store.

Beirut Duty Free is managed by Phoenicia-Aer Rianta Management Company (PAM), a joint venture between Aer Rianta International (Middle East) W.L.L and Phoenicia Trading – Afro Asia.

According to BDF, the focal point of the new store is a striking promotional pillar at the shop entrance to showcase the latest ‘hit products’. Customers can find live listening stations, as well as interactive photography visuals and an Innergie charging station in store.

“Electronics are generally quite a considered purchase and I’m really pleased that our electronics offering now allows customers to browse in comfort, discuss their requirements with our product experts and choose from a great range of products.

“Finally I’d like to pay tribute to my team for putting in another great effort to ensure that we opened the store on time.”

Leading consumer electronics brands such as Apple, Samsung, Sony, HTC, Canon and Nikon will all be represented in store.
