KKIA notches second strongest duty free sales in 2023 in November

Riyadh Airports Company (RAC) says duty free sales continued to impress in November at King Khalid International Airport (KKIA).
The airport posted its second strongest numbers to date – beaten only by the June summer peak – buoyed by international passenger traffic growth of +46% against the pre-Covid 2019 level and +27% year-on-year.
Year to date, international passengers were +28% ahead of 2019 and +30% above 2022, while total passengers were +11% and +18% respectively.
In a statement, RAC confirms an expanded F&B offering is driving category sales and retail sales have delivered above the passenger growth percentage.
Abdulaziz Al-Asaker, Chief Commercial Officer, RAC, said: “We are delighted with these strong passenger numbers, commercial sales and very strong finish to 2023. Our growth trajectory is expected to continue into 2024 and we’re looking forward to further new records at this exciting time for KKIA and KSA.”
