The Middle East and Africa Duty Free Association (MEADFA) has introduced “affiliated membership” as a new membership category.

According to MEADFA, the aim is to widen the Association’s scope and better represent the interests of the DF&TR industry.

The initiative submitted to the Extraordinary General Meeting held in Dubai on 27 March was embraced and validated by the majority of members.

MEADFA President Haitham Al Majali said: “’Affiliated membership’ is now open for brand owners, suppliers including related associations and distributors operating in the Middle East and Africa region.

“Joining forces with ‘affiliate members’ will create a collective strength and build an even greater relationship that will facilitate communication and exchange of information.

“Working closely towards a shared vision is a certain move that will surely drive common interests forward and help shape the future of the industry in the region.”
