Hudson opens Belkin store at Los Angeles T6
By Doug Newhouse |
The Hudson Group has teamed up with the Belkin electronics company to open a new store in ‘one of the busiest terminals at Los Angeles Airport’.
The ‘first-ever’ Belkin outlet has opened at the airport’s newly renovated Terminal 6, with Erik Burgers, Belkin’s Director of Sales referring to the location as ‘ideal’.
“With the opening of our first retail store at LAX, we are excited to introduce the world to the latest Belkin products in one place,” he said. “LAX is a major international travel hub, which made it the ideal destination for a Belkin store.
“As we continue to innovate in the accessories market, this outpost will be a great place for consumers to stock up on the latest chargers and other travel must-haves to power and protect all of their mobile devices.”
INCREASING INTEREST IN ELECTRONICS
Adding his comments, John Bradley, Merchandising at the Hudson Group said: “Hudson Group has increased the amount of in-store space for electronics consistently each year for the past four years.
“Consumer electronics accessories are a big seller across the board – especially charging and device protection products.
“With airport officials predicting a record of 24.5m passengers passing through the airport this summer, it’s the perfect time to collaborate with Belkin to open a stand-alone storefront in one of the busiest terminals at LAX. We look forward to helping customers and being the traveller’s best friend.”
The renovation at LAX Terminal 6 sees the new Belkin store located next to M.A.C Cosmetics in a facility, which also includes The Marketplace by Wolfgang Puck, plus numerous F&B options.
