Montréal Airport to tender 17 F&B locations

By Kevin Rozario |

Aéroports de Montréal (ADM), the operator of Montréal‐Trudeau Airport (YUL) will shortly issue an international tender for the operation and management of 17 food and beverage concession locations.

ADM claims its commercial programme generated annual average sales of $1,200 per square foot in 2013, and sales per enplaned passenger of $17.71. According to Airport Revenue News this ranks YUL in fourth place among North American airports.

In selecting tenderers, ADM is looking for “demonstrated experience, excellent reputation, interest in deploying a diversified offering, and services at competitive prices” for its 14.1m passengers, up +2.1% in 2013.

Of that total, international traffic was 5.3m (up +1.1%) and transborder hit 3.4m (up +4.7%). That means that nearly 38% of traffic at YUL is now represented by international travellers to destinations outside the US.

ADM is investing $300m dollars in YUL’s long‐term infrastructure as it plans to host 17m passengers by 2020. The expansion and redevelopment of commercial areas is part of the second phase of those plans (see F&B artists impression left).

Full details regarding the F&B tender will be available soon at this website. Direct enquiries can also be made to Jean‐Sébastien Pard, Procurement Agent Aéroports de Montréal, Tel: +1 514 633 5230 or jean‐[email protected].
