Stolichnaya owner SPI appoints Asia Director

By Kevin Rozario |

SPI Group, owner of the Stolichnaya vodka brand, has appointed Romain Ambrunn as Asia Pacific Regional Director as of this month.

Ambrunn, formerly with Belvedere Marie Brizard Group, will be responsible for the regional commercial development of SPI’s portfolio, with a strong focus on Stolichnaya and the ultra-luxury elit by Stolichnaya.

“Romain’s previous Asia Pacific experience – coupled with deep expertise within the beverage industry – will be instrumental in developing Stolichnaya and elit by Stolichnaya, within key markets and further building its regional and global success,” says Robert Cullins, Global Commercial Director of Luxembourg-based SPI Group.

At Belvedere, Ambrunn was Regional Director of Asia Pacific and prior to that he worked in Asia for Spiridom Group GBH. He will be based in Shanghai and reports directly to Cullins.

Founded in 1997, SPI operates in over 160 markets and is active in the production, sale and distribution of more than 380 brands, many of which it owns.
