‘Perfect Start’ to French festive campaign from Champagne Lanson

By Caroline Sargent |

From 1 September Champagne Lanson will launch its travel retail festive campaign with Aelia in the two French airports of Paris CDG and Orly.

‘Since 1760: The Perfect Start’ is the title of the new campaign, pitching Lanson as the ‘perfect aperitif’ for Christmas and New Year celebrations. A trio of new gift boxes for the Black Label Brut, Ivory Label Demi-Sec and Rose Label Rosé varietals are presented in black, gold and pink, with elegant gold or pink stamped lettering and the brand’s recognizable cross logo reproduced in the cascade of celebratory bubbles rising up the front of each pack.

Travellers visiting Paris and Orly through September will be drawn in by the packaging’s strong shelf appeal displayed on high visibility back wall and gondola units, along with the special seasonal offer of 15% off the regular price during the limited period. The ‘Perfect Start’ packaging will be available in other European airports over the Christmas period.

“The gift box has been designed to symbolize the power, fruitiness and freshness which are the pillars of Lanson style whilst retaining its historic values,” says Champagne Lanson Export Director, Olivier de La Giraudiere.

“During festive periods such as Christmas and New Year, Lanson is the perfect aperitif: the perfect start to a celebratory evening. And, of course, in travel retail this is a time when consumers are looking for the perfect gift to take to friends and family – or as a self-gifted treat.”
