Fashion forward chocolate collection from Lindor to preview in Cannes

By Caroline Sargent |

Fresh from the Lindor label by Swiss chocolatier Lindt comes a new ‘Fashion’ collection of individually wrapped chocolate spheres, presented in a novelty suitcase-style carry box or sleek gift tube.

Visitors to the TFWA World Conference & Exhibition will be the first to see the Fashion range, offered in chic scarlet finished with a smart houndstooth check pattern. Designed for sharing and gifting, the company hopes the stylized range will catch the eye of new customers as well as those already familiar with the brand.

Both the quirky 400g mini-suitcase pack and complementary 250g red tube contain Lindor’s finest, wrapped milk chocolates, while the glamorous gold tube is filled with an assortment of four flavours: milk, dark, white and hazelnut, presented in co-ordinated colours.

Commenting on the launch, Peter Zehnder, Head of the Lindt & Sprüngli Global Duty Free division, says, “Fashion is a dynamic and fast-moving world and the connection with Lindor has been designed to generate real excitement around the brand. For women – a core target market – fashion is the most important category. It also enables us to target younger consumers, another key demographic, as the average fashion buyer is 37 years old – six years younger than the average travel retail consumer. Our Lindor special and limited editions have always proven very popular, and we firmly believe that this new product range will also be a strong commercial success.”

POS support for the launch will include a striking banner, shelf talkers and a display case styled as a wardrobe, dressed with fashion accessories. Tasting activities will also take place and a special ‘Fashion’ photo app will allow customers to send Lindor branded greetings via e-mail to their friends.

The Lindor Fashion range by Lindt will be available in travel retail from February/March 2015.
