DFS to launch The Dalmore 45YO exclusively at Masters event

By Caroline Sargent |

Whyte & Mackay have announced that The Dalmore distillery is to launch a 45 year old Highland single malt, which will be exclusive to DFS and launched at their Master of Wines & Spirits event this month.

Meticulously crafted by Master Distiller Richard Paterson, The Dalmore 45YO has been finished in Matusalem Sherry from the world renowned Gonzalez Byass bodega, as well as vintage port. When married together the woods give the whisky an ‘unforgettable’ taste of roasted walnuts, espresso coffee and sweet plums.

Richard Paterson says, “This prestigious whisky is an assemblage of rare Dalmores drawn from the finest woods from 1967, 1968 and 1969. These aged whiskies, pulled from the deepest corners of the distillery warehouse, create radiant colours of glittering mahogany gold, as well as a whisper of mulled wine and ginger figs on the nose. Quite simply, this whisky is stunning.”

Francesco Scaglione, Whyte & Mackay Travel Retail Director comments, “The DFS Master of Wines & Spirits event is an important occasion on the travel retail calendar. We are thrilled to be involved with DFS as they undoubtedly have one of the finest wines and spirits collections in Asia. The Dalmore is an exceptional whisky and we are honoured to be showcasing it at such a prestigious event.”

Only 30 bottles of The Dalmore 45YO will be made available. Discerning consumers will have the opportunity to purchase it from DFS retail outlets at an RRP of SGD$31,888 (£15,539).
