Bans and more bans threatened

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has confirmed that the Russian Government will consider banning western commercial airlines from flying over Russian airspace in response to the latest new sanctions imposed by western governments.This has led to speculation by some – including Virgin Atlantic founder Richard Branson – that this would, in turn, almost certainly result in a reciprocal ban on Russian airlines flying over western European airspace, so increasing expenses for Aeroflot and other Russian airlines.
