CTC-ARI celebrates Cyprus in the shade

Top Sunglasses CyprusCTC-ARI Cyprus Airports Duty Free celebrated ‘World Sunglasses Day’ yesterday with a number of special events and promotions, including a 15% at both Larnaca and Paphos International Airports.

 

Shop staff all joined in the spirit of the whole event aimed at driving additional footfall and sales, dressing up as movie icons such as Elizabeth Taylor, James Dean and characters from the Reservoir Dogs film – all said to be renowned for looking great in their shades.

 

Models also waltzed along the red carpet, posing for customer selfies customers and handing out free glasses of Champagne to the temporary rich and famous.

Commenting on the fun event, Cyprus Airports Duty Free Retail and Marketing Manager Dave Gorman said: “We’re always looking for new ways to add a bit of excitement and theatre to the retail experience at Cyprus Airports Duty Free.

 

“As so many passengers like to treat themselves to a new pair of sunglasses on their return from their holidays in Cyprus, it’s great to be doing something special for World Sunglasses Day.”

 

CTC-ARI added that this event is also being supported through a social media competition. This is encouraging customers to have their photo taken in their new sunglasses, while posing with a gold frame. Participants are subsequently entered into a competition to win a second pair.
