Year of the Sheep cigar accessories by Davidoff

By Caroline Sargent |

New to market as from 8 December is an exclusive limited edition range of Davidoff accessories in celebration of the Chinese Year of the Sheep. The range is complementary to the recently introduced limited edition Year of the Sheep cigars.

An elegant porcelain ashtray (pictured) by Chinese designer Chen Jiang and made in Limoges, is intricately decorated with a mix of 12% gold, grey and red twisted and tapered surfaces, evoking the horns of the Sheep. At 24cm in diameter, its size will appeal to the Sheep’s generous personality, says the brand.

A pair of prestige lighters are made from one piece of brass with the tank integrated into the body, meaning no plastic tank and no leaks. Two opposing gas streams come together to form a unique fan-shaped flame, allowing cigars to be lit evenly and efficiently. Available in two designs – palladium style with a horizontal linear pattern, or a gilded finish with an accolade design – they are presented in a smart red pouch tailored with the Year of the Sheep emblem

The third element of the accessories collection is the Davidoff Special Edition scissors, offered in a red leather pouch. Forged from stainless steel, the gold-plated cigar clippers are decorated with a laser marking inspired by the Year of the Sheep. The large blades can cut cigars with a head gauge of up to 23 mm/58 RG with precision.

“The Zodiac sign of the Sheep has many common values with Davidoff,” says Charles Awad, Senior Vice President Marketing and Innovation of Oettinger Davidoff AG.

“The appreciation for craftsmanship and the sense of refinement and style which brings joy to others are at the heart of everything Davidoff believes in. In keeping with this belief, these exclusive accessories have been lovingly crafted using the rarest and most precious ingredient – time”.
