Her Majesty The Queen officially opens LHR T2

By Kevin Rozario |

Earlier today, the Queen officially opened London Heathrow’s new £2.5bn ($4.26bn) Terminal 2 together with the Duke of Edinburgh, almost 60 years after she opened the original Terminal 2: The Queen’s Building in 1955.

T2 opened to traffic on 4 June and is the culmination of an £11bn private sector investment that has included the construction of Terminal 2A and B, Terminal 5 A, B and C, a new control tower, and the refurbishment of Terminals 3 and 4.
