Karachi: Taliban airport attack leaves 28 dead

By Kevin Rozario |

The busiest international airport in Pakistan, was, this morning, the scene of a bloody battle between gunmen – sent by the Pakistani Taliban say BBC and Sky news reports – and police and military personnel.

All, ten of the gunmen were killed along with a number of airport security guards, but the body count could rise further. The incident, once again, brings into question airport security as the militants easily entered the airport heavily armed with a variety of automatic weapons including a rocket launcher and grenades, and wearing suicide vests.
