Christmas comes early to Dublin

By Doug Newhouse |

Aer Rianta International has launched its new Christmas offer at The Loop shopping complex in Dublin Airport under the heading, “The Joy of Giving”.

Management says this is to capitalise on all those passengers who will only travel through Dublin Airport once between now and December 25, as Nicola Wells from The Loop explained: “Around 34,000 passengers come through The Loop every day, many of whom will only be travelling once between now and Christmas and are keen to get some items off the Christmas list nice and early, hence our rationale for a very unseasonal, seasonal launch.

“We’re also conscious of the fact that many people travelling through our terminals often don’t have enough time to put thought into gift shopping when rushing to catch a flight, so we’re happy to offer over 5,500 products that can be bought up to 48 hours before travel at theloop.ie.”

Getting into the swing of it all…

ARI says the countdown is on with just 96 days to Christmas and it also making its Christmas shopping selection available on its internet site at www.theloop.ie which covers both Dublin and Cork airports. Passengers can browse and buy before they fly and pick up their purchases at either airport.

The retailer is also operating its popular Shop and Collect service, where purchases are stored free of charge for customers to collect on their return to Dublin or Cork Airport. They also receive reminder texts to pick up their purchases on return.
