Diageo’s Blue Label Gallery at LHR

By Doug Newhouse |

Diageo GTME and Johnnie Walker are currently showing off the JOHNNIE WALKER BLUE LABEL art exhibition Gallery in Heathrow Airport Terminal 5.

This exhibition showcases what are considered to be the world’s most talented and upcoming artists’ unique interpretations of ‘The Rare Blend’ and they are also designed to convey the rarity and craftsmanship synonymous with JOHNNIE WALKER BLUE LABEL.

Celebrating this exhibition, JOHNNIE WALKER has created 750 limited edition JOHNNIE WALKER BLUE LABEL bottles, etched with the London skyline in a rare gold liquid imprint. These will be available exclusively for purchase in World Duty Free stores in all Heathrow Terminals between now and the end of February 2014.

OTHER GALLERIES…

There is already a JOHNNIE WALKER BLUE LABEL Gallery exhibit in Miami International Airport – launched to coincide with Art Basel, one of the world’s largest art fairs. The concept has also been shown at Singapore Changi Airport.

These aforementioned 750 limited edition bottles are available exclusively for purchase in World Duty Free’s stores located in all four Heathrow Terminals between now and the end of February 2014 and are designed to be displayed for sale to cover the key purchasing periods of Christmas, the increase in Russian and Chinese flights in the New Year and Valentine’s Day.

Eugenio Andrades, Chief Commercial Officer at World Duty Free Group said: “This exciting initiative demonstrates the strength of the relationship we have with Diageo and Heathrow.  We have worked in close collaboration with the brand and the airport, to help bring this experiential event to travellers visiting Terminal 5.”
