Hamburg Airport managment reports that Samsonite premium suitcases will be the focus of the very first pop-up retail store in the Airport Plaza at Hamburg International Airport when it opens tomorrow.
Executives at the airport says they are pleased with the development which they believe will deliver even more variety to the present retail mix at the German airport.
As the first tenant for a period of ‘around six months’ Samsonite will offer premium suitcases and bags before a new tenant comes in to take over the 23sq m retail space at the Gate A17 waiting area near the boarding area.
MANAGEMENT SAYS IT IS ‘THRILLED’
“We are thrilled by the opening of the new pop-up store at Hamburg Airport,” said Lutz Deubel, Head of Center Management at Hamburg Airport. “The regular change of tenants will make the shopping experience much more interesting for our passengers.
REFLECTING THE FEEL OF HAMBURG….
“We are continually developing our retail offering, and the new pop-up store is an ideal complement to our portfolio, which already brings a first-class airport experience to both frequent flyers and occasional travellers.”
Airport management adds that this is all part of Hamburg Airport’s newly designed Pier atmosphere where recent months have seen several waiting areas modernised at the gates with a designs reflecting ‘a typical Hamburg touch’.
It adds that that this new format has also been designed to reflect the themes of trade, merchant houses and the warehouse district, with a bright and transparent feeling, mirroring ’typical motifs’ from the city aimed at showing off ‘Hamburg’s unique flair’.
