Nice Airport to unveil tender agenda at TFWA Singapore

By Kevin Rozario |

Aéroports de la Cote d’Azur is set to reveal the timings and tender processes associated with the revamp of Nice Airport’s Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 at the French Riviera gateway which was first exclusively reported by TRBusiness last September.

Chief Commercial Officer, Filip Soete (below) will present the details at an event during the TFWA Asia Pacific show on Wednesday 14 May.

The renovation at Nice Airport is expected to be of huge interest to global duty free and travel retail operators. Not only is the project at France’s third biggest airport the most ambitious ever undertaken by the airport operator, it will also involve a total shopping overhaul.

New walk-though stores and a focus on “an offer that reflects our location on the Cote d’Azur” will be central to the revised retail plan. Aéroports de la Cote d’Azur told TRBusiness last year that it hoped the revamp would increase retail revenue to Aéroports de la Cote d’Azur by +50%.

A full report of the changes at Nice can be found in the October issue of TRBusiness which you can view and download here.
