Nils Schirmer joins eurotrade from Gebr. Heinemann

Nils Schirmer has joined eurotrade from Gebr. Heinemann.

Munich Airport has appointed Nils Schirmer to lead the purchasing department at eurotrade, the airport’s retail subsidiary. 

Schirmer joins from travel retailer Gebr. Heinemann, whom he has served in various roles since 2011, most recently as Director of Purchasing Operations.

He will be in charge of strategic development of the purchasing portfolio, data management, procurement and layout of existing shops and boutique concepts.

Schirmer will report directly to Christian Wallner, one of the two eurotrade Managing Directors.

EXPERIENCED EXPERT

Originally from Pinneberg in Schleswig-Holstein, he spent 12 years at American office supplies retailer Staples in Hamburg.

eurotrade Flughafen München Handels GmbH was established in 1973 and is a 100%‑owned retail subsidiary of Flughafen München GmbH. Eurotrade operates approximately 70% of all the retail units totalling around 14,000 sq m of retail space at Munich Airport and a duty free shop at the Friedrichshafen site.
