Spain’s family-owned drinks house Diego Zamora Group has appointed Matthew Turner as Global Brand Director for its flagship brand, Licor 43, as of yesterday.
Turner, formerly with The Macallan via the Edrington Group, will be in charge of all Licor 43’s international marketing and innovation and report directly to Thomas Clamens Managing Director of Zamora International.
Thomas comments: ‘’Matthew brings many years’ experience in the international drinks industry, most recently as Global Brand Controller for The Macallan single malt where he played a key role in building it into a globally successful brand.”
Turner (left) adds: ‘’This is a very exciting opportunity, Licor 43 is a wonderful brand with a clear vision of doubling volume in the next few years, I am joining the brand at a pivotal moment in its history and I look forward to proving a valuable asset in guiding Licor 43 along its journey.’’
Licor 43 is currently distributed in over 60 countries, making it Spain’s most widely exported liqueur and the fastest international growing premium liqueur in the world according to Diego Zamora Group. The company says that it is ranked number one for liqueur sales in Germany, the Netherlands and Brazil.
