Hawaiian sunglasses brand Maui Jim says it has ‘taken a giant leap into the glamour market’ with the launch of Monstera Leaf; the first frame in a new luxury collection.

 

Monstera Leaf (#747) is handcrafted in acetate which is embellished with a temple inlay of Hawaiian tropical flowers in 24ct white, yellow or rose gold. The new model is designed to flatter round, oval and heart face shapes and the styling is described as ‘feminine and refined with a slight cat-eye shape to the silhouette’.

 

Monstera Leaf is available in three colours: Honey Havana with yellow gold and HCL Bronze lenses; White Tokyo with white gold and Neutral Grey lenses; Guava Pink with rose gold and Maui Rose lenses.

 

Lightweight MauiGradient SuperThin (ST) Glass lenses – which apparently weigh 20% less than standard glass and are treated with Maui Jim’s patented PolariszedPlus2 – provide all the protection from ultraviolet and glare ‘the fashionista could demand, even the flash of the paparazzi’, says Maui Jim.

 

 

Swept Away is another addition to Maui Jim’s growing collection, available in four ‘jewel’ colours. Ruby with mauve interior and Maui Rose lenses; Blue with raspberry and NeutralGrey lenses; Tortoise with caramel and HCL Bronze lenses; Blue Grey with teal and Neutral Grey lenses.
