Russ Berrie to launch 2014 plush toy collection at IAADFS, Orlando

By Caroline Sargent |

Russ Berrie President and CEO Myles Bowman has announced the 2014 Duty Free Show of the Americas in Orlando will see the worldwide relaunch of the iconic RUSS brand of plush toys.

New product lines preparing to debut at the show include Signature Bears, Li’l Peepers, Yomiko Classics and other notable collections. After a dormant few years the brand, founded in 1963 and best known for its popular ‘Troll Doll’ line, was taken over by Larsen & Bowman Holdings Ltd in July 2013, who acquired the ‘Russ Berrie’ trademarks, trade names and associated goodwill from Kid Brands.

“The overwhelmingly positive response from the IAADFS only validated to us how popular the Russ Berrie line of merchandise is and can be,” says Bowman. “2014 is a critical year for us in many ways, including the development and manufacturing of our product line as well as aligning ourselves with the best executives to support each of our initiatives. Russ Berrie is back on the map in the best possible way.”
