Talking TRMarketplace: E. Gluck, Rob Robertaccio
By Andrew Pentol |
New York-based watch company E. Gluck Corporation believes its Anne Klein brand is ‘uniquely positioned for success’ in the post Coronavirus (Covid-19) world.
The brand, which is a finalist with four items in the 2020 TRBusiness consumer-voted Travel Retail Awards, believes TRMarketplace is a great way to convey this message.
Speaking during the second edition of our Talking TRMarketplace video series, Rob Robertaccio, Vice President Global & Travel Retail Sales, E. Gluck Corporation said: “TRMarketplace and TRBusiness in general have such great relationships across the industry you are bringing the best-of-the-best together.
“That in itself is going to be a help with who comes to participate.”
STRONG CRUISE RETAIL BUSINESS
Citing the cruise industry as its most developed DF&TR business, Robertaccio told TRBusiness: “There is always opportunity for additional growth [in the cruise sector] as there are still some players we are yet to open.
“The greatest opportunity we hope to gain though through TRMarketPlace probably exists at airport duty free level.”

Already boasting a long-standing relationship with DFS Group and growing business with Dufry in the Americas, E. Gluck is eager to expand its global DF&TR presence. “We are very interested and motivated to grow our position across the rest of the globe through meeting people at TRMarketplace.
“We are particularly interested in trying to expand in Europe, Korea, India and the Middle East.”
Robertaccio, who says TRMarketplace will be the company’s second formal showing to the DF&TR industry, following its inaugural appearance as an exhibitor in Cannes last year, added: “We had already developed a marketing strategy with TRBusiness that would have led up to this year’s TFWA shows in Singapore and Cannes.
“With these shows being cancelled and Anne Klein being selected as a finalist in the Travel Retail Awards, it made sense for us to be part of TRMarketplace. Needless to say, we are very excited and hope to increase our exposure and meet new potential partners to expand our presence in the industry.”
TRMarketplace is available for all categories and will allow each supplier/brand access to a dedicated ‘brand hub’, where they can showcase their respective product portfolios. Brands can upload all relevant documentation for visitors to browse and download (access restricted).
With a fixed price to exhibit of GBP£4,495 (ex VAT) – for every company regardless of size – TRBusiness and Bluedog Productions believe that this opportunity is accessible to all.
TRMarketplace has received an overwhelming amount of support from the world’s leading travel retail companies.
Among the long list of global operators who have pre-registered for the event we can name the following: Dufry; Lotte Duty Free; Dubai Duty free; 3Sixty; ARI; Flemingo International; Mumbai Duty Free; Harding; King Power Traveler Co Ltd; Tasa Meng Corporation; Iraq Duty Free; Kaner Duty Free among others.
In addition, the following airport groups have also committed to attending the event: Singapore Changi Airport (CAG); Tallinn Airport; Budapest; Cairns; Adani Airports (India); Luzon International Premier Airport Development Corporation (Clark International Airport in the Philippines).
