TFWA has announced a number of changes to its management team in Paris to strengthen its structure and enhance service to members, exhibitors and visitors to the Association’s events.

The Association has promoted Myriem Chalabi (former TFWA Customer Engagement Manager), as the new Exhibitions Director, effective immediately. She joined TFWA in 2009 and has held a number of positions within the association’s Marketing and Exhibitions departments, most notably managing registration and customer relations at TFWA’s trade shows and conferences.

Chalabi will be responsible for organising the TFWA World and Asia Pacific Exhibitions, in Cannes and Singapore, respectively, including sales, logistics, registration and sponsorship.

She will be supported by TFWA’s dedicated exhibitions team, including Exhibitions & Logistics Manager Françoise Parigi and Sales Supervisor Mona Lebrasseur (both of whom have been promoted to these new roles) and Advertising & Sponsorship Manager Isabelle Régnier. Chalabi will also be joined by an additional new team member – Commercial Assistant Morgane Sekfali.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Ana Homawoo (former IT Director), has been promoted to the position of IT and Technical Director, effective immediately. She will be responsible for all technical issues related to TFWA and its events, including data protection compliance and security. Current Finance Director Sylvie Guigue has also been given the additional responsibility for Human Resources, with a particular focus on training.

The announced management changes have been made to ‘strengthen’ TFWA’s structure and ‘enhance its service’ to members, exhibitors and visitors to the Association’s events around the world.

Commenting on the management changes, TFWA President Erik Juul-Mortensen, stated: “These are all well-deserved promotions. Throughout her time with TFWA Myriem has demonstrated her considerable organisational skills and determination to offer visitors to our events the best possible service.

“Her principal task, supported by an experienced and knowledgeable team, will be to constantly improve our two major exhibitions and ensure they offer value both to exhibitors and delegates. The TFWA Board and I look forward very much to working with Myriem and her team on our upcoming events, starting at the MEADFA Conference in Dubai this month and at the TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference in May.

“Ana, meanwhile, will help ensure that TFWA is positioned to adapt to a changing environment for event organisers, especially with regard to data protection and security. And Sylvie’s expanded role will enhance and facilitate the day-to-day running of the association.”

FULFILLING POTENTIAL

Adding to his comments, TFWA Managing Director John Rimmer, said: “I am delighted for Myriem who has proved herself to be a very committed, creative and hard-working member of the TFWA staff. She and the exhibitions team are fully focused on delivering unmissable events that will provide a platform for our industry to develop, and I look forward very much to working closely with her.”

In addition to her IT responsibilities, “Ana has an equally vital part to play in her new technical role, in the smooth running of our events, while Sylvie, as Finance and Human Resources Director, will help our Paris team to fulfil its considerable potential”, says Rimmer.

The TFWA Marketing department will continue to be headed by Marketing Director Cécile Lamotte, while the Association’s conferences are overseen by Conference Manager Michele Miranda and John Rimmer.
