DDF is kickstarting the holiday season with 20% savings across a range of categories.

Dubai Duty Free (DDF) is hosting a two-day promotional event (19-20 August) across all the terminals and concourses at Dubai International and Al Maktoum International Airports to mark the start of the Eid al-Adha Islamic holiday.

Departing, transiting and arriving passengers travelling during the holiday period can benefit from a 20% discount on perfumes & cosmetics, watches, costume and precious jewellery, handbags, luggage, sunglasses, pens and fashion items. Online pre-order customers can also take advantage of the promotion.

Discounts exclude gold, electronics and select perfumes, fashion and watch brands, and cannot be combined with other offers or promotions.

Colm McLoughlin, Executive Vice Chairman and CEO of Dubai Duty Free said: “This is a very special time of the year with families travelling as a result of the upcoming Eid al-Adha and we thought this was a good way of joining in the celebrations with them so that our customers can start their holiday break on a high note with great savings.”

Last month, DDF revealed that precious jewellery spearheaded a 9% increase in sales between January to May of US$853.65m.

The combination of continued retail investments across its terminals [which include ongoing renovations at Concourse’s B and C – Ed] and increasing passenger traffic puts it on track to exceed the $2bn sales mark in 2018, according to McLoughlin.
