MMI and African & Eastern launch new home-delivery liquor service in Dubai

Maritime and Mercantile home deliveryMaritime and Mercantile International (MMI), owner of Dubai Airport fine wines operator Le Clos has partnered with UAE liquor retailer African & Eastern to launch a new home-delivery service in Dubai.

The concept, entitled LegalHomeDelivery.com is the first and only legal wines, spirits and beers home-delivery service in Dubai. It is available to all Dubai residents with a valid liquor licence. Tourists can avail the service subject to confirmation of their tourist status via their original passport.

According to MMI, wine, spirits and beer can be delivered directly to homes in a ‘legal, safe and convenient’ way. Orders are made securely on the site and delivered the following day.

“LegalHomeDelivery.com is the only legal home-delivery service for wines, spirits and beers in Dubai. Customers can make their purchases safe in the knowledge that all products are 100% authentic.

“Our teams will transport and store all deliveries in climate-controlled conditions, direct to our customer’s homes, with a quality guarantee. We hope that this service will provide our customers even more convenience during these unprecedented times.”

500 BRANDS TO CHOOSE FROM

Currently, there are over 500 popular wine, spirits and beer brands to choose from with the range updated regularly.

Orders placed before midday, will be delivered the next day. Customers can order online via a secure payment gateway, with a minimum spend of AED 250, plus a delivery charge of AED 50. Customers must present a valid liquor licence to receive their goods once deliveries arrive at the registered address.

Amid the Covid-19 pandemic, drivers are instructed to wear face-masks and gloves during delivery. MMI says drivers are trained to high levels of sanitsation before handling products and deliveries. As part of the social distancing initiative, drivers must stand at least two metres from doors when delivering goods.
