APTRA ties up with Swedish analyst Generation

By Kevin Rozario |

The Asia Pacific Travel Retail Association (APTRA) is partnering with duty free and travel retail analyst Generation Research to provide exclusive performance data on the industry in Asia Pacific.

The Generation Index Asia Pacific reports will chart regional progress across all sales channels and all product categories on a month-by-month basis.

Sweden-based Generation is providing this proprietary data on an exclusive basis to association members who can only access the reports in the members’ section of the APTRA website. Further more detailed analysis can be obtained from Generation on a one-to-one basis.

The reports will be available alongside other research, including recent consumer behaviour studies and a comprehensive analysis of the low cost airline sector in Asia Pacific.

Jaya Singh (left), President of APTRA, comments: “We have seen a tremendously positive response from our members following the research reports we have commissioned in recent months. Through this partnership with Generation, APTRA members will have access to statistics which will further their understanding of the industry’s growth and help inform their strategic planning.”

Yngve Bia (right), President Generation Research, says: “Asia Pacific is, today, the world’s most important region in terms of duty free trade. We are very pleased to be able to bring to APTRA’s members exciting insights into how this thriving market continues to evolve.”
