Ex-Nuance MD Ken Tse joins LSTR Pacific

LS travel retail Pacific announced today that Ken Tse, the former Managing Director of Nuance-Watson (Singapore) has joined the retailer as Head of Operations – Duty Free & Luxury.

 

 

LSTR Pacific says Tse will be based in Melbourne where he will oversee the company’s Duty Free & Luxury operations, including the recently won new duty free concession at Auckland Airport, where the contract begins on July 1.

 

 

The retailer’s other duty free locations include Adelaide, Gold Coast, Queenstown and Dunedin Airports, plus the company’s specialty luxury stores in Sydney, Melbourne, Cairns and Perth.

 

 

Tse is a very well respected senior manager who recently returned to Australia from Singapore after spending 13 years in his senior role with Nuance Watson. He left the company following the $1.7bn sale of the Nuance company to Dufry.

 

 

Ken Tse worked with Alessandra Piovesana, Regional Managing Director of Nuance Asia and the same successful team that ran the Singapore Changi Airport Perfume & Cosmetics concession for many years.

 

SUCCESSFUL TRACK RECORD

Commenting on the appointment, LS travel retail Pacific Duty Free General Manager Ivo Favotto said: “I am delighted to be adding someone of Ken’s calibre to our expanding team and I welcome him back to Australia. I have worked with Ken previously and long been an admirer of his successful operation in Singapore”.

 

 

The retailer adds that Tse has a long and successful track record within the industry, and has won numerous industry awards for excellence reflecting strong supplier relationships.

 

 

It adds that his expertise in pioneering significant developments in duty free categories, including introducing several exclusive brands to the Asia Pacific market, ‘will benefit LS travel retail’.
