Chris Woodroofe is new COO at London Gatwick Airport

London GatwicK Airport has appointed Chris Woodroofe as its new COO following a decade in ‘key senior roles’ at the airport and Scott Stanley as its new Chief Development Officer.
Woodroofe has been charged with responsibility for driving Gatwick’s future growth and performance through infrastructure, technology and efficiency improvements after gaining experience in a wide range of roles.
In addtion to this appointment, the current COO Scott Stanley has been appointed Chief Development Officer. His new role requires him to ensure that the airport’s new development projects match its operational needs.
‘ONGOING COMMITMENT…’
A third new senior appointment also sees Ray Melee join as Chief Construction Officer in charge of delivering Gatwick’s £1.2bn ($1.4bn) Capital Investment Programme.
This will include Gatwick’s biggest-ever annual investment of £240m ($299m) relating to development projects in the forthcoming financial year.
Gatwick Chief Executive Officer Stewart Wingate said: “Today’s appointments demonstrate Gatwick’s ongoing commitment to develop and grow and provide our passengers with the very best airport facilities and service possible.”
